Count Camilo de Kavur
Count Camilo de Kavur was the ministerial head of the Sardinia-Piedmont state of Italy. He contributed significantly to Italy’s unification movement. He was neither a revolutionary nor believed in democracy. Like all the rich and educated members of the Italian aristocracy, he used the French language well. Kavur was a clever diplomat who managed to defeat the Australian forces in 1859 by entering a diplomatic treaty with France. In 1860, with Garibaldi, he was successful in conquering South Italy and two Sicilies. And was also successful in removing the Spanish ruler, and in 1861 AD, uniting Italy made Victor Emanuel II the king of unified Italy.
