Frankfurt parliament
A large number of political organizations in German regions decided to vote in favor of the All-German National Assembly in the city of Frankfurt. On 18 May 1848, 831 elected representatives took their place in the Frankfurt Parliament in a decorated procession. This parliament was held in St. Paul’s Church. He drafted a constitution for a German nation. Which was presided over by the ruler who was under the Parliament. When the delegates offered to crown Prince Fredrikh William IV of Prussa, he rejected it and supported those kings who were opposed to the elected assembly. While the opposition of the elite and the army increased, the social base of the Parliament weakened. The influence of the middle classes was greater in the Parliament. Who resisted the demands of workers and artisans, thereby losing their support. Finally the soldiers were called and the assembly was forced to disband.
