1. Purposeful process: – Management is the goal oriented process which helps in achieving organizational objectives.
2. Omnipresent: – Management is omnipresent which is necessary for all types of organizations like social, economic, political etc.
3. Multidisciplinary activities: – Management is a multidimensional activity which is related to the management of tasks, individuals and operations. Each organization is set up for certain tasks. Management is the art of getting people to work. The management is also capable of carrying out various actions in the organization.
4. Continuous process: – Management is not a process which is to be carried out at once, rather it is a continuous process. Management tasks like planning, organization, appointment, instruction and control are constantly required.
5. Collective action: – Management is a group activity. Many individuals in an organization work to achieve organizational goals. No managerial decisions can be taken alone. For example, the marketing manager can increase the credit facility only after consulting the financial manager. The production manager has to be consulted before delivering the goods.
6. Dynamic work: – Management is a dynamic task which has to work according to the changed environment. One has to change himself and his goals according to the management’s requirement, time and circumstances.
7. Purpose power: – Management is a power that can be seen only by its presence can be felt. When the objectives in an organization are being achieved according to the plans then it will be said that the management here is good.
