In Chapter 1 we read about the village Palampur. This village is located in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. The farmers of the village grow many crops and take advantage of irrigation facilities. But some areas become unused due to inadequate irrigation. The village has access to electricity, and education and health services are also available. The economy of Palampur provides job opportunities, but also has some challenges such as lack of irrigation and seasonal unemployment. Solving these problems requires cooperative efforts and development of technology.
